Hi, there! It's been awhile since I posted here, and mostly because I'm posting on Instagram all the time!
Today was another eventful day, full of activities, a day of creative over-achievements. Started out with knitting a few rows on a new pair of gloves, beautiful soft linen yarn. Then a bit of un-cluttering the desk area in my corner office. Then a long drive to Ohio to visit grand daughters. Their large 100-year old house is home now to 4 cats, 1 puppy and 2 geckos. The 4th cat came 2 days ago when my grand daughter was sitting in her TV room, looking out the window on the main street. A truck stopped in front of the house next door and threw out a parcel. She thought it was trash, but then it moved. It was a scared and timid cat. The cat almost was hit by a car, but slithered to the side of the road. She ran out in her slippers and polka dot pajamas and scooped it up and adopted it.
She does rescue animals. I told her, maybe they heard about the lady in this house, just dump your pet and that cat lady will take it in.
We had lunch at a restaurant. Then, as husband and I were driving home, we stopped at Earlham College for their premiere event of Contra Dancing. They had invited seasoned dancers to come and help teach the new students. What made it so fun for me was the Band! Experienced musicians who played traditional folk-Irish dance music. I got contact information so I might join them sometime.
